In 1994 Susan Smith a married 23 year-old from South Carolina drove her car to a lake and sat and thought. in the back seat was her two sons who were sleeping. Something then made her release the brake and the car rolled forward into the lake, maybe she thought Finley would want her now, she watched as it floated with the lights still on, all the doors and windows closed , as it slowly filled up with the icy water a small hand pushed against the rear window it took around 6 minutes to sink.

Susan ran for help saying a black man had car jacked her and took her children, this lie went on for 9 days in that time her ex lover avoided her and she failed many polygraph tests, and changed her story when the facts didn't match, the cops saw through her false tears and finally she cracked and admitted what she had done.
Sentenced to 30 years to life in prison. Susan will be eligible for parole in 2025, after she has served 30 years in prison. At that time, Susan will be 53 years old.
