Alejandra Onofre Nava aged 30, the mother of Dulce Samantha Hernandez her 20 month old daughter who was killed by Rodriguez an ex boyfriend of Onofre spoke to her ex at his murder trial.

Rodriguez still maintained his innocence
Doctors testified during the trial that the back of Samantha's head was bashed in as though she had fallen from a fourth-story window.
Rodriguez's descriptions of what happened was that he shook Samantha and pushed her onto a couch but what he said did not medically match the girl's injuries.

He was sentenced to life in prison.
Also 29-year-old Shawn Thornton Johnson was sentenced to life in prison for shaking his 4-month-old baby son, William Richard Johnson to death.
Judge Nachtigal told Johnson at the sentencing.
"Anyone who is a parent can have sympathy for a parent who has a colicky baby, a tired baby, a crying baby," Nachtigal said. "You just want that crying to stop.
"But the sympathy ends there," the judge continued. "Because for a person to shake your baby as hard as you can, as fast as you can, as long as you can, there's no sympathy there."
